I *heart* Uschi.

So, today Uschi called me an uncharitable wench. *giggle* This is probably the harshest she has ever spoken to me. *giggle* I probably shouldn't find this nearly as amusing as I do.

IS Update

Pomona and Vertumnus:Turned in a final rough draft on Friday. Almost couldn't hand it over, because I still think it sucks. Grrr.

Daphne:This is possibly the most wonderful story I've ever written, except for how I hate the ending. I mean, she turns into a tree! What do you do with that? I had a meaningful ending all worked out, then I went and changed my main focus of the rest of it, and... it all fell apart. I hate stories that are wonderful is every way, shape, and form, and then fall apart on the last page. Don't know what I'm going to do about that. I've spent the last 2 hours talking to Lana and watching Foamy, and really, I got nuthin'.

BTW, Lana gave me C's phone number. I suppose I could call, but I probably won't at this point. What's really amazing is how little time I actually spend thinking about this situation, except when it's brought up.

Writing

So, a very important part of the writing and re-writing process is playing solitaire. Especially when you think what you're writing is shit.

I'm Not A God Damned Compass!

So, I was going to wait the whole two weeks, but screw that.

Of absence, 'cause it doth remove
The thing which elemented it.

LOL Movie Night

LOL had its first Movie Night tonight. We had 10 people in attendance, more than I usually expect for something like that. We watched Big Eden, which is quite possibly the most romantic thing I've seen in a long time.

In slightly related news, I checked on Amazon.com, and season 2 of "The L-Word" is out on DVD. So as soon as I scrounge up $40...

*happy*

I'm an Aunt!

Early Friday morning, my best friend since the beginning of time had her baby. Gabriel Alexander Moore is 8lbs, 20 inches, and red as a little potato! As soon as he is old enough, I will introduce him to the joy of Batman. (Erin says no, he will have a bedroom decorated in Spiderman and the Hulk. But it's not about decoration, it's about introducing him to quality entertainment and the mythology of our time.)

I'm so proud of Erin and her baby. She went into labor late Thursday night, as I talked to her on the phone. You go girl!

In other news, I got the problems with my FAFSA worked out - the Financial Aid Office hadn't reported our change in financial situation, because it's policy to wait and make sure parents don't get a job. However, it's all good, and I have a Pell Grant for this year. So my classes will not be canceled. w00t!

Love Out Loud had it's first booth at Fall Preview Day! Rejoice! We've been trying for this for the last year and a half. It's good to see our hard work has finally paid off!

It Boggles The Mind.

I am reading Aristotle. Of my own free will.

Quick Update. Short Declarative Sentences.

Weekend: Jenny, E, and Sharon came to visit. Went Renning. Watched Sharon buy very expensive Ren clothing that makes her look like a frothy fairy. Broke my glasses. Bought this. A good time was had by all.

Today: Answered email, obtained new manga from Feenix. Printed LOL Constitution. Went to visit Dr. Nick, who was canning tomatoes, and appears to have lost weight. Avoided Dr. Nick's homework assignment. Roommate bought a light bulb that changes color every three seconds. It is cool.

Now for Comic Recommendations:

EtC - written by E, with talking refrigerator... okay, that's a bad plot summary. Soon, there will be evil poodles as well.

Moonlit Night - also by E, now with lesbians! Not a humorous comic, but nonetheless good.
