Like Mother, Like Daughter
Blond guys from Indianapolis, the summer before our senior year of college.
Don't know how I feel about that.

Interesting GLBT Editorials
Judge Roberts: A justice who would stand aside, by Joe Solmonese - Not only is the question of whether Roberts is personally anti-gay hard to answer; it is also the wrong question to ask.
Holy merit badge! Divine retribution? by Charles Karel Bouley - If God hates gays, why do his harshest punishments—electrocutions, heat waves, hurricanes—seem to be directed at antigay bigots? The Boy Scouts should take note.

IS Update
Pomona and Vertumnus
Thursday: 726 words
Total: 3,831 words
Status: complete rough draft
Notes: I don't feel as emotionally connected to this story as I do my others. I really wanted to write a good old fashioned straight romance, but I couldn't get into it. There aren't any romances in Greek mythology, but I seemed to think I could make this into one, when really it's just an extremely clever story. It's all intellectual trick/get tricked plotting. Vertumnus turned out to be the main character, not Pomona, but while he has motive, he frequently seems to just be going through the actions without any depth. In re-writing it, I need to make sure it's clear how he's supposed to be developing/adapting, such as the vine at the end of the story.

Finally, the court has been overruled in the "You can't teach your child Wicca" case. This is an exciting day all around!

Pomona and Vertumnus
Monday: 228 words
Tuesday: 861 words
Total: 3,107 words
Status: Incomplete
Notes: Finished clumsy-herder scene, switched it and the reaper scene because it flowed better and it showed consistent character development on Vertumnus' part. He's not such a jack-ass anymore. Decided Pomona shouldn't reveal that she knows it's him playing farmer dress-up, he needs to develop into a useful human being all by himself.

The school finally appears to have the new email system up, Outlook Web Access. I can't say that I'm overly pleased with it, yet. There's no good way to highlight and delete stuff all at once, which is something that I had to do, since I was over my storage limit, even though I wasn't four days ago, and I've gotten maybe 15 messages since then. Also, they pack too many windows into one screen, making it cluttered and hard to read.

IS Update
Daphne story
Last Wednesday: 850 words
Last Thursday: 951 words, some of it rewriting previous parts
Total: 4,073 words
Status: New rough draft completed
Notes: added Daphne's background and sub-plot with Comaetho, unintended consequence being that Apollo gets actual motivation for hanging around the Hall.
Pomona and Vertumnus
Saturday: 237 words
Status: Incomplete
Total: 2,014 words
Notes: Finished reaper scene, trying to write clumsy herder scene, Vertumnus is a real jack-ass, which is proving to be... difficult. I started this story about this time last year, and had to put it away. Now I see why. It would be cool if I could just finish it!
Cloud!Hera
Total: 1,029 words
Status: incomplete
Notes: plot outlined, no activity on this one in about a month. Concentrating mostly on Vertumnus' story
